Is CudaText capable of creating a new Lexer yet, or does this need to happen in SynWrite still?

Is CudaText a replacement for SynWrite?
Is CudaText a replacement for SynWrite? I just discovered both apps, and am unclear as to the status of each. Am I correct that SynWrite is more mature / has more functions than CudaText, but that it is no longer developed? I assume that CudaText will therefore catch up / over take SynWrite at some ...
