i cannot reproduce this.
i tried with Cudatext with 2 empty tabs with "ddddd", replaced "d"->"www" by "replace global" and it works.
also tried with 2 files.
can you post a video? what options in Find dialog do you check.

I don't have Delphi (10.3 license ended; didnt get next version). can you make the patch in Github? for MouseLeave, add the

{$ifdef fpc} override {$endif};

made the same fix for almost all autocomplete_* options. they were coded the same way.

it was easy to fix it, will be OK in 1.118.5.

pls more details. what error text. how to repeat it?
maybe old Lazarus? I use 2.1 trunk.
