Thanks for the answer, not really what I hoped for though. Is there a way I can configure something like "Use only as much space as needed, but not more then xxx pixel"? So that the tabs aren't that wide when only short file names are used. If I reduce the MAX size, then the titles are cut...

I think the "Tab maximal width" and "Tab minimal width" settings don't work correctly (or they work differently then I expect). It seems that "Tab minimal width" is completely ignored, and tabs are always rendered with the width specified in "Tab maximal width"...
