Cud remains hidden when passing file

Post by Stefan »

When dbl-clicking a file that is supposed to open with Cud (not running yet), it comes up fine.

When I do the same while Cud is already open, I don't get to see the Cud-window, unless I Alt-Tab through my open apps to locate Cud and bring it to the top.

Win10.
I tried it with 2 cases - a) Cud is minimized; b) Cud is low in the Z-order of windows. both cases - ok here, previous instance goes to front.
option "ui_one_instance" must be true.

Thanks for your quick reply. I suspected it must be some setting I messed with. Because I am sure it did work before. But still in the dark what might be causing it.
One instance is true.
I tried it under all kinds of conditions, calling the commandline directly, from a file manager via "openwith", etc.
I also tried various view settings (fullscreen, distraction-free) and "re-open session" true and false.
Let's not worry about it for now. I will figure it out, sooner or later. Until then, I just Alt-tab my way to Cud. No big deal.

Does it work for you on Win10 when you set Cud to fullscreen?

Very interesting behavior:
Distraction-free: seems to work flawless now, always comes up front
Fullscreen: first start-up works fine. Second file dbl-click = Cud starts flashing in Win TaskBar. 3rd file dbl-click = works fine, brings Cud to the front.
