Alexey,
maybe you should make this the default? I remember having the same problem as my namesake when I first started using SW. Most people probably expect a behavior similar to word processors and other editors.

And Alexey, you should stop modifying users carefully composed posts.
You have removed some keywords I had added which I had used as search term (known from other editors),.. and others probably would use too to find this answer.

1-maybe you should make this the default? - Only if MOST of top editors do it. Notepad++, Ultraedit, Emeditor, Sublime, etc...

Redo Keyboard Shortcut

Post by Contra Joe »

Is there a way to can change the redo keyboard shortcut to be Ctrl+Y instead of Ctrl+Shift+Z? Most programs use Ctrl+Z for undo and Ctrl+Y for redo, so it's very confusing for me when I use SynWrite to remember that redo is Ctrl+Shift+Z. Right now, Ctrl+Y deletes the current line, but I never use that feature anyway. Thank you for such a great program!

You can view and reset command shortcuts in page Keys in dialog Options

Nice, thanks kvichans! BTW, I think Ctrl+Y should be the default shortcut for redo since that's what most top editors use, including Notepad++ and Word. I think a lot of newbies to SynWrite (like myself) will have problems because SynWrite uses different keys.

Sorry to disagree with you, but Ctrl+Z (Undo) and Ctrl+Y (Redo) have always been the standard shortcuts. Microsoft Word uses them, and Notepad++ does too. Cheers, A.

P.S.: Alexey, do you like my Russian Pac-Man? I made it for this forum. :?)

Save open files with project

Post by phedlund »

Is it possible to save the open files when you have a project open so that when you re-open the project later that those files will load back up?

Also, Project->Tools is there a way to put the tools from the current project on the toolbar?

Thanks for consideration.
