@uvviewsoft
OK, great. Thanks to FTurtle for making that. I respect him for making the contribution. But it doesn't make sense for today. It seems like a compressor program icon.
If you don't like my design, it's fine. I can try with another design, no problem.
But the old icon has to go. It doesn't look ok.
The grey isn't right either. It's close in contrast to the orange color. When it is smaller and shown on taskbar etc., the orange isn't clearly distinguishable from the grey and looks fuzzy (at least to me).

That doesn't mean my designs are perfect either. My color combinations would need tweaking too to make it close to perfect for everyone's eyes. Design impacts functionality, productivity and mood. So having a good icon makes sense. That's why big companies invest a lot of their resources to find the perfect design, color and everything for their users. Not to mention that a logo is part of the UI/UX. If we have a new logo the color we choose in the logo will (hopefully?) go into UI/Code themes as well to keep in sync with the rest of the interface.
I'll try other designs and post here.
@Shovel Feedbacks are welcome. I'll try again to produce something better.
I haven't seen that logo when creating the design. Thanks for sharing. It is close, but it has different meaning and difference in thickness. For example, there are many icons that have pencils in them. They look similar but they are different in length, color etc. They are very similar, yet accepted because of these slight differences. But still, I'll try something different.
EDIT: added "I'll try..."
