plugin for CudaText.
shows Unicode full name (e.g. "LATIN CAPITAL E") for character under first caret.
shows it in the statusbar "message" cell (where usual messages show with a delay).
seems it doesn't slow down editor, on 2010 year average PC.

Don't you see it in Plugins/ Addon manager/ Install?
