Is CudaText a replacement for SynWrite?

Is CudaText a replacement for SynWrite?

I just discovered both apps, and am unclear as to the status of each.

Am I correct that SynWrite is more mature / has more functions than CudaText, but that it is no longer developed?

I assume that CudaText will therefore catch up / over take SynWrite at some point?

Thanks :)

SynWrite was frozen year(s) ago. CudaText is a replacement and it's CROSS PLATFORM. It has different approach to configs- JSON files instead of dialogs (but dialog Plugins / Options Editor is present).

Thanks for the reply (and for the superb app).

Is CudaText capable of creating a new Lexer yet, or does this need to happen in SynWrite still?
