After a recent CT update, my Toolbar reset to what I'm assuming is the default layout. Problem is that I had set up a menu button for all menu items and then hidden the menu bar for more screen space and a tidier layout.
How do I access the options which allow me to show my old toolbar layout again?
This is my current toolbar which doesn't even show some icons:

It's strange because Distro package DON'T have settings folder so toolbar cannot reset. toolbar config is stored in settings-folder in cuda_config_toolbar.json and nearest folder with PNG files. try to install Cud 1.179 and check - is toolbar ok?
and check that 'Config Toolbar' plugin is installed.

to show the menu bar, remove the plugin 'Configure Menu'. folder cudatext/py/cuda_config_menu.

That is the version I have installed, not sure if the issue started with this or previous version though.
I've checked the settings files cuda_config_toolbar.json and menu.json which are identical between versions 1.179 and an older backup of 1.173. The older version loads fine, but the newer has issues with the toolbar/menu.
Any idea what's happening?
Thanks for your help

Because not CudaText loads the toolbar, the plugin ConfigToolbar does that, I guess the plugin was broken maybe. can you revert the plugin and check? can you install the latest plugin?

Also its possible the plugin API is broken maybe; can you send me the 'settings' entire folder to email support(at)uvviewsoft.com ?

checked on windows and linux gtk2, Cudatext 1.180. for linux I needed to fix the theme name in user.json : Fugue -> fugue (case sensitive). but all is OK on both OS'es (if I install Fugue toolbar theme + Config Toolbar plugin). all toolbar icons are visible.
try this:
- get clean Cud 1.180, unpack it to a new folder
- run it (on linux configure the python) and install Fugue theme + config toolbar plugin
- exit, replace 'settings' dir with your dir from 1.179 (on linux: also write to user.json the "pylib__linux")
- run again
this way you will get working toolbar with all button icons (at the end: green+black icon, the globe icon).

That works fine. Thanks.
I then made a copy of this new CT app folder, then copied my 'data' folder from v1.179 to v1.180, all seems good so far. Is that ok to do that or are there newer files needed by v1.180 in the data folder?

Seems to be working ok now. Thanks for your assistance Alexey.
One last thing, When I clicked the link to sourceforge, it auto downloaded the 32 bit version, what is the link for the 64 bit version for windows 11?
