Incorrect Display of Hotkeys

Hotkeys that are shown in the menu and on my custom toolbar dropdowns do not reflect the actual hotkeys that I have set. It does not matter whether I set them via F9 in the command palette, or via the Configure Hotkeys Plugin.

It is not true for all of them, some hotkeys do reflect my changes. But others, like say, Help > Command Palette, or View > Toggle Side Panel remain stuck on their initial values.

They work alright, but the automatic caption is wrong.

do you use 'Config Menu' plugin with changed menu?

No, I don't. But I use the plugin Toolbar Config, set up to show my own custom dropdown menus.

Zipped Cud-dirs are on the way.
It happens with several of my hotkeys. For instance: View>toggle distraction-free. I re-assigned it to F12. And that's the key that triggers it. However, my dropdown menu shows it as Alt+F11-

I did not get the new zip file yet.
(tested on the old your zip file. F12 is shown for 'toggle distraction free' if I call the main menu via "traffic lights" icon on sidebar)

Sorry, I just saw this now. Should have checked the forum before I mailed it out again.
My current Cud is a mess, because I am currently experimenting with both, Config menu AND Config Toolbar.

Let's stay with "toggle distraction-free", that I have assigned to F12

1) it also shows up as Alt+F11 on my custom menu

2) it shows up correctly as F12 on the clean Cud menu

3) It always shows up incorrectly as Alt+F11 on my custom toolbar, no matter whether I have custom menus or standard menus

Btw, it were nice if distraction-free did NOT show the menu. That's why it's called distraction-free (in my opinion, others may disagree)

I made a fix and sent you a email reply.

> it were nice if distraction-free did NOT show the menu.
maybe.... but then users will stuck - no UI to return back. some may guess to call Cmd Palette.

You are right. They could get stuck. It did not occur to me because I am using my Hotkey to toggle. Maybe an option like with FullScreen to tell Cud what to show in distraction-free?

Or a command to toggle the main menu? Instead of having to go via Options every time.
