Addons manager not working (Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS) in VB

If I click on some of the options in the Plugins -> Addons Manager menu (Install, Update, Download all, Download show links), I get the following error:

Retry?

I am running CudaText on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS in a VirtualBox on a Windows 10 host. I tried installing CudaText both through the software centre and the CLI and got the same error on trying to use Addons Manager.

I don't know why your PC cannot download files from SF.net..
