V1.92 opens slower than before

Post by hamasaki »

Hi Alexey,

Since the last update, CT is now slower to open. It's only a minor thing, but is a bit annoying. Any idea what might cause it? There is a pause now before the menu bar loads. This never happened before.

Thank you.

Do you see it on CLEAN CudaText, without ExtTools / Config Menu / Macros / other plugins? Try in clean installation.
What OS?

Ok, I`ve tried a clean install. It opens slightly faster, but there is still the pause with the menu.

Windows 10, 64Bit.

I cannot see the slow start on Win10. Cud 1.91 opens here 310ms, after update to Cud 1.92 it first opens 540ms (files were not cached) then again 310-340ms.

Try with cudatext.exe from 1.91: http://www.uvviewsoft.com/tmp/cudatext191.zip
This exe file cudatext191.exe opens faster?
What it shows in Console panel (Ctrl+tilde), startup time?

So issue is in the 1.92. Maybe its affected by your options, can you zip all your Cud folder (without .exe .dll .pyd files) and send me to support @ uvviewsoft.com ?

Confirmed. I don't know what caused it but found how to fix: update Config Toolbar plugin now (main fix); and next Cud update will make it little faster too.
