Caret position on mouse click

Is this the default action in Cudatext for the caret; And if it is can i change it somehow because i didn't found any settings.

Weird now it's working.

Maybe it is random. Clicking multiple times in different places sometimes is as at the photo and others working ok.
Most noticeable when i click on the left side of a space near the letter.

If i hit directly the letter that i want i think it selects this letter almost always at the right.

I tried it on Linux gtk2 version, works ok here.
caret goes to the nearest side of letter.
tried the 'proportional' font too.

1) What is your OS, gtk2 or qt5?
2) if you zoom in to 300% (Ctrl+MouseWheelUp), effect is the same?

Yes with 300% zoom.

I am on windows 7 x64

Some lines in my file are 290 characters long without word-wrap. Maybe it has something to do?

I now tried also on Win7 x64. Still no bug here. Even with text 'Total-part'.

OK then. It might be a localized problem. Or is something in my setup.

Just for the record (in case someone has the same problem):

I am using fira code fonts (without ligatures) in the editor and Verdana for the UI.
Changed font from fira code to Verdana for the editor to match the UI.
The file was encoded in cp1253.
i encode it from cp1253 to UTF 8.

The same thing.

Seems to me that when word-wraped it doesn't happen. (have to test it more)

Also i can't reproduce it in Notepad++ with the same file.

Anyway thanks for looking into it.

Sorry for keep posting, but i am trying to give as much information as i can.

Tested the same file with synwrite - notepad - notepad++

all works like this click right from the letter choose left

Test it with a clean cudatext install the same.
