Occasionally I need a column block mode.
Other editors offer at this point to press ALT key and drag a vertical line between two columns.
This seems to be not possible in SynWrite.
Could you add this feature in the next version?
Thomas
How to enable column block mode?
1) Vertical blocks: Alt+Shift+arrows
2) Multi-carets to edit columns,

2) Multi-carets to edit columns,

Thank you for answer.
I am interested in MultiCaret editing.
So according to your link I performed:
"To do this, just select text block with left mouse button, while Ctrl is pressed"
I did this but nothing happened (under 64 Win7 with SynWrite 6.38.2725).
Why?
Can I use somehow the (more usual) ALT key for the column block mode?
Resp. can I assign a different key?

@thoste: you have to differ between the two marking modes
Column marking:
Pressing ALT key and marking with mouse with hold left mouse button marks a column
Pressing Shift-ALT key and click at the most right corner marks a column to this position
Multi caret (multi cursor) marking:
Pressing Ctrl key and click at any position of the text sets a cursor at this position (nothing special you think ... wait)
Hold Ctrl key and click at another position of the text sets a second cursor at this position (you now have two cursors blinking!)
Hold Ctrl key and click at another position of the text sets a third cursor at this position ... and so on
Typing, pasting, marking any text will be done at all cursor positions at once!
