Still untranslated/not used strings

Post by hexaae »

As far as I can see from requesters when you want to close a modified tab for example, these already translated strings in the lang\<region_code>.ini are not yet used by CudaText 1.166.5.0, right?

Code: Select all

;Dialog box button captions
;half of button captions not used yet: todo
b_ok=Ok
b_can=Annulla
b_ap=Applica
b_cl=Chiudi
b_y=Sì
b_ya=Sì a tutto
b_n=No
b_na=No a tutto
b_ab=Annulla
b_re=Ripeti
b_ig=Ignora

if you mean strings for 'no', 'yes', 'yes to all', --- yes, they are not always used in messageboxes, sometimes they are from OS.

From the pic above for example when I try to close a modified TAB I see the warning requester uses Yes, No, Cancel instead of localized strings...

Some message-boxes use OS-strings, not localized, and it's not easy to change

OS strings of the machine where has been compiled? Because I have Italian Windows and requesters like this with Yes, No, Cancel are in English.

So these strings are English only, ie I don't know yet how to localize them.

Indeed it seems Lazarus stuff:

yes, I know that Lazarus app can be translated via .PO files. but we use diferent technology - INI files.

Ok, but please consider that an option if there's really no other way to implement it through proprietary INI format... only for those few extra (OS) strings at least.
