Statusbar insert field

Sorry if this has already been brought up; I tried searching, but form says "insert" is too common a word to search for.

In the statusbar, the insert/overwrite field always says "Ins"; it never changes when the Insert key is pressed, even though the caret does change to the overwrite caret.
